Professional Outboard Service You Can Trust
Anchor Marine provides professional diagnostics, repair, winterization, electronics installation, and secure storage for boats and outboards throughout Menomonie, Eau Claire, and surrounding areas.
Appointments are required. Contact Anchor Marine and ask for Doug to discuss your boat and schedule service.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes. All boat repair, outboard service, winterization, storage, and diagnostic work at Anchor Marine is scheduled by appointment. Calling ahead ensures space is available and helps keep repairs moving efficiently. Please contact us before dropping off your boat, outboard, or trailer.
How long will this take?
Anchor Marine typically operates with a backlog of 1-2 weeks. In most cases, you can expect approximately two weeks between your initial contact and when work begins. Once your boat is in the shop, completion time depends on the scope of the repair, how quickly repair approvals are received, and parts availability.
How much is this going to cost?
The cost depends on the condition of the boat and the repairs required. Anchor Marine charges for inspection and diagnostic time just as it charges for repair time, because identifying the problem often requires testing, disassembly, research, and professional evaluation. Labor is billed at $160 per hour with a $100 minimum charge. You will receive an estimate after the diagnosis labor, where you can choose to continue the repairs or halt repairs.
Which outboard motors do you repair?
Anchor Marine services and repairs most major outboard brands, including Mercury, Yamaha, Johnson, Evinrude, Suzuki, Honda, and Tohatsu. Service is limited to outboards manufactured in 1990 or newer. If you have questions about a specific engine, please contact us with the make, horsepower, and serial number.
Do you work on older outboards?
Anchor Marine specializes in outboards manufactured in 1990 or newer. Parts availability, shop labor rates, and decades of age-related wear and deterioration can often make older engines impractical to repair. However, select vintage outboards may be accepted as restoration projects, where preserving or restoring the engine is the primary goal rather than minimizing repair costs.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, in state checks, Venmo, PayPal, Visa, Master Card and Discover Card
Can I drop off after hours?
Yes. Many customers cannot make it during normal business hours, so after-hours drop-off is common. Service envelopes and key tags are available in the drop box. Simply complete the information, place your keys in the envelope, and deposit it securely into the office drop box. Your boat can then be left in the designated drop-off area.
Do you warranty your work?
Yes. Anchor Marine provides a 1-year warranty on repair labor and on parts purchased from and installed by Anchor Marine.
Is my boat secured while it's in for service?
Yes. Whether your boat is here for a routine service or a major repair, it is stored in a fenced and locked facility with limited access. Anchor Marine also carries care, custody, and control insurance to help protect customer boats while they are on the property.
